Bows and arrows

We’ve been seeing a bit of lean towards North American imagery lately – arrows, feathers and tribal geo’s, seen predominately in fashion but photography, graphics and hand drawn type too. I love the simple arrow head motif, more to follow later…

Necklace by Orelia, really simple, cute motifs in soft golds and silvers

Lovely packaging – Sarah Thorne for Topshop and Jack Wills

I couldn’t resist, I saw the beautifully simple illustrations, hand drawn and quirky, the products looked so wonderful together, a lovely coherent collection – really striking. I was hooked, I couldn’t help it and I may have bought a couple of items.

I loved the hand drawn text and illustrations, uncoated paper stock, small droplets used for the waterproof mascara and starry sprinkles for the highlighter. BeautifulWhat a clever lady Miss Thorne is, you can see more of her work here.

I didn’t realise Sarah had designed the packaging for Jack Wills fragrance too, saw it just the other week, I liked the soft pink on Kraft paper

Vanilla Sense

So pleased to be able to support another new business idea. Vanilla Sense is a new venture from Bettina Perdomo. She creates delicious cakes and desserts, I can concur, they are indeed amazing. She mixes her South American routes with a British sweet tooth , for an interesting combination which I’m sure will be a success. Vanilla is actually a really interesting plant, an orchid no less, which translates as ‘little pod’ – cute. It grows as a vine, climbing up an existing tree or other support, which is what we have tried to capture with the curly V clinging on to the A. Subtle, but we like it. Good luck Bettina, and if you need any more guinea pigs for cake tasting, just say the word! xx

Almost there, just a little tweak to go

5 more sleeps

Well, it’s only a few more days (5 more sleeps to be precise) before the big man arrives
& I really can’t wait. I’ve asked for snow, I’ve asked very nicely indeed, and I’m hoping
he’ll come up trumps. I believe in you Mr Claus, don’t let me down.

As of tomorrow we’re heading to our favourite place, where double rainbows happen and dreams come true. Merry Christmas everyone, hope you have a wonderful time & much love. xx
